Today @swobes directed my attention to Canabalt, an online game that fits all of my criteria for a good time:
- Quick and to the point, I don’t have to think too much – just jump
- Only uses one button – so I can play with one hand
- And most of all, I can eat a sandwich while playing
Multitasking during a lunch break to get the maximum amount of rest and relaxation allowed without a prescription is a sought after experience in my book. Who needs a game that I have to memorize keyboard shortcuts and watch cut scenes to follow a storyline? Do I care that I’m trying to escape because a robot army is destroying the city? No. I could give two shits what’s going on. I just except the fact that I need to press x to jump over stuff and I can go to town on my Baconator and not get my keyboard greasy.
So far, Canabalt is close to the top of my lunch genre game list. Play it at http://www.adamatomic.com/canabalt/

A treaty has been signed and Lyndsey and I have finally decided on a name for our new little girl – Olivia Lynnelle Stark Conlin. We thought if one middle name was good, two of them must be better. That’s just the American way, our founding fathers would have wanted it that way.
Other names that were in the running:
“Guy Fawkes Conlin” – but we thought that we would rather her go to college instead of trying to overthrow the Protestant English monarchy.
“Doc Brown Conlin” – in tribute to him having the idea for the FLUX capacitor on Nov 5th, 1955.

Well after only 20 minutes of pushing, my new little girl is here. 8lbs. 15 oz., 21 inches long.
Now the last leg of the naming battle is underway, and I think I’m loosing ground…

I know it’s bad, but I’m lazy and I needed to get this blog up and going. The truth is, the last thing I want to do after spending the day building sites is to go home and build a site.
I promise I will change it, but it may take a few, um days. I promise. Really I promise.
